PROMIoTOR: Low-Power Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence for the sustainability of processes in Smart Farming

The PROMIoTOR experiment: Low-Power Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence for the sustainability of processes in Smart Farming, was granted after the second TETRAMAX Value Chain Oriented and Interdisciplinary Technology Experiment call.

The PROMIoTOR experiment joins EMBIO Diagnostics, AIR institute and TAMIC. They aimed to improve the production processes of crops and the impact on the environment, because European farmers need to innovate and provide high-value organic food to improve their international competitiveness.

PROMIoTOR will work on reducing the use of resources such as water, energy and the carbon footprint, using low-consumption IoT technologies and Deep Learning algorithms. An intelligent platform will use data from IoT agri-meteo stations and predict and recommend the best practices to improve sustainability in precision agriculture such as vineyards, olive plantations or tomato orchards,....

This collaboration will lead to more than 20 000 potential customers in Spain, Portugal, Greece an Cyprus. In the next phase the German and French market will be tackled.
