Strengthening the network on a multi-regional level

Joining forces on a multi-regional level means a more in-depth and solid networking structure. This is opening up a multitude of collaboration opportunities and transnational joint activities. TETRAMAX is investing in establishing a sustainable and strong network foundation by reaching out and promoting the possibilities of TETRAMAX on different occasions, on different levels, in different European countries.

Stefano Salvador from Italy got in touch with our TETRAMAX partners at the B2B brokerage event at the ICT2018 conference in Vienna. This event was an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences among digital innovation hubs (DIH) and discuss potential joint collaborations. Stefano Salvador is working for an enterprises and incubation office in Italy, with a strong industrial network in the Trieste area. These local partners are connected in the DIH platform www.ip4fvg.it. Recently they officially joined our European technology brokerage network. Involving digital innovation hubs such as this one, truly make an impact. Sharing information more effectively on funding opportunities and possible collaboration possibilities offered by TETRAMAX.

Since the beginning of the project, TETRAMAX is closely linked with the digital innovation hub CPS.HUB NRW - a recognized innovation hub in the domain of cyber-physical systems. The collaboration fostered the promotional advertising of various Open Calls via the HUB's website and emailing facilities. Besides publication services in the English language, CPS.HUB has also offered German translation services to better target the local SME community within the local environment.

In Spain, our partners from FundingBox engage often in regional workshops, matchmaking events or other summits. The following are just a few of the recent examples of regional activities in Spain: Graciela Garrido, Project Manager at FundingBox, lead a specific TETRAMAX workshop for researchers of Universidad de Carlos III de Madrid, September of 2018. At this event, besides TETRAMAX's open calls, the main activity lines were presented. Also, an event in La Rioja, a workshop in 2018 for the Agency of Economic Development of La Rioja, presented another opportunity to explain the TETRAMAX network. In November 2018, during the FIWARE Global Summit in Malaga, a session about equity-free funding opportunities was presented by FundingBox, including a presentation of TETRAMAX and its open calls. FIWARE Summit engages 500 international attendees.

In the end, collaboration with partners with a solid regional ecosystem strengthens the network in customized low-energy computing in Europe from the bottom up.
