TETRAMAX awards TTX CLEC PV and H-BEACON

The TETRAMAX Technology Transfer eXperiment (TTX) award highlights experiments with a significant impact in three different categories: technical, business and financial.

CLEC PV was chosen as the award winner of the Tetramax TTX awards from the second Value Chain TTX call, for its exceptional contribution to innovation in Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) management for the renewables sector. The integration of the Blockchain technology, the Clamp-on IoT sensors, and the energy management platform allow CLEC PV to provide a new technology product that makes the PPAs management easier, cheaper, and secure. The partners involved in this project are Aitor Castillo and Yesnier Bravo of BETTERGY S.L. (Spain), Bo Madsen and Rasmus Ladegaard of ReMoni A/S (Denmark) and Txetxu Santamaria, Iván Gutierrez, Daniel Landa, and Conchi Cortés of TECNALIA (Spain).

H-BEACON was selected from the 2nd Call for Entrepreneurial TTXs for its excellent contribution to innovation in soil humidity prediction for the Smart Agricultural Systems. This TTX created a soil humidity prediction system based on the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI). This indicator is generated from data input from the underground LoRa beacon with related Machine Learning techniques. The energy-efficient solution is cost-effective and simpler to maintain due to the prolonged battery lifetime. Such a robust but simple technology is a great candidate for becoming a strong competitor in the smart agriculture market. H-BEACON already tested their alternative soil sensing mechanism and managed to make it cost- and energy-efficient. The partners involved in this project are Petar Šolić, Petar Popovski and Ante Lojić Kapetanović of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture of the University of Split (Croatia).
