TETRAMAX partner DAMA-UPC is working on a COVID-19 app.

DAMA-UPC is developing a COVID-19 oriented app: Co-APS, which is funded by EIT-Urban Mobility. Co-Aps is a mobile application that helps reduce the spread of COVID-19 by managing density in public transport and public spaces.

Co-Aps (https://coaps.eu/) is an exciting app, which implements mobile technology to gather anonymous user data, open data from cities and data from third party services to provide relevant information about crowds and density to public transport operators and city authorities. This is done to inform and thus better protect citizens against the global pandemic by enabling them to avoiding crowds.

At this moment it is in a piloting phase. It will be promoted as as a travel companion in the following months.

This project is funded by EIT Urban Mobility, an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). EIT Urban Mobility acts to accelerate positive change on mobility to make urban spaces more liveable.
