Hackathon organized by AIR institute

The AIR Institute , the research institute of the PROMIoTOR project, organized an event on 17 October in Salamanca (Spain) related to the DIGITEC project (Interreg Poctep), aimed at Smart growth through advanced digital technologies and blockchain.

During the first multidisciplinary Hackathon in advanced technologies and blockchain took, promoted by the IoT Digital Innovation Hub that the AIR Institute leads, the PROMIoTOR experiment and TETRAMAX project were presented.

University students participated in this event, especially those from the faculties of Computer Engineering, Business Administration and Management, Economics and Law. In addition, several companies attended the Hackathon, including Viewnext, Deloitte, soyeconomista.com, the BISITE Research Group, CGB Informática and Educatibot.

The DIGITEC Project has been presented during the IoT DIH Workshop, with the support of José Francisco Diego Calvo from ICE (Institute for Business Competitiveness). Also, Denisa Kera, a researcher at the BISITE Group, gave a talk on Blockchain technology, and Andrea Cimmino (UPM) and Carmen Perea (ATOS Spain) presented the Vicinity Project.
