Wireless monitoring solution for truck lead acid battery

Background

As future generation of trucks place greater emphasis on comfort, there is need to power on-board appliances electrical like fridges, microwaves, TVs, etc. This would need lead acid batteries, and the problem is monitoring the State of Charge ("SOC") and State of Health ("SOH") for the lead acid battery (may an additional auxiliary battery). We are a Chinese company with partners in Europe, and our business is in providing integrated commercial vehicle products and solutions.

Technology requests

We are seeking solutions that:

  • Monitor the battery's SOC and SOH
  • Can report the data to the driver (via an app) when the battery SOC and SOH is lower than expected
  • Low cost sensor

One example of the battery in use includes: Rated current 14.0A, Max. current 22A, Max. power 550W.
