Radio modems for LoRaWAN / NB-IoT networks

SMARTICO LLC

The problem/challenge

The potential of IoT has been constrained by short battery-life, short range of communications, high costs, and lack of common standards. LoRaWAN (Long Range Wide-Area Network), has overcome all these obstacles. The use of LoRaWAN / NB-IoT radio modems save costs as SIM cards from mobile operators are not needed.

The invention/product

We provide ultra-low power consumption LoRaWAN / NB-IoT radio modems that can be used with IoT sensors/meters such as gas, electricity, water, heater, meters.

The LoRa radio module has passed certification tests for electromagnetic compatibility (FCC, UKRSEPRO). An alternative option for data transfer is the SimCOM NB-IoT modem using Narrow BAND technology.

Companies/industry we are looking for

We are looking for industrial SME manufacturers producing IoT/IIOT sensors and meters (gas, electricity, water, heater, etc.).

Our company has an R&D department, which allows us to develop custom equipment for customized solutions.

Next steps/Activities

We are looking for partners to participate in the TETRAMAX TTX calls. The industry partner should intend to adopt the radio modems for use together with their IoT sensors/meters.

In the long-term, we hope the partnership will lead to manufacturing and services agreements for our LoRaWAN / NB-IoT radio modems .
