Particularly, embedded devices need additional security as attackers have full physical access to them. Side-Channel Attacks reveal secrets by observing unintended communication channels such as power consumption, timing or electromagnetic radiation. Over the last two decades, several attack mechanisms and countermeasures have been invented. We, at RUB, are one of the leading research groups in this field. We offer support with protecting cryptographic implementations against side-channel attacks and consulting to industry partners.
