First seed funding has been provided via the BMBF EXIST program, and early technology adopters from industry included Huawei and Samsung. Silexica has also been supported by the European Commission via the TETRACOM FP7 project (the predecessor of TETRAMAX) as well as the H2020 EIC accelerator program.
The company has since then acquired around US$28 Mio. in total from international investors and became a leading provider of C/C++ programming and analysis tool for multicore and FPGA System-on-Chip architectures. On June 10, 2021 Silexica´s acquisition by Xilinx, the market leader in programmable logic ICs, has been announced.
TETRAMAX is a Horizon 2020 innovation action within the European Smart Anything Everywhere (SAE) initiative in the domain of customized and low-energy computing for Cyber Physical Systems and the Internet of Things.
